| She receives
2 units of packed red cells. Unfortunately she has a mild transfusion reaction
which settles with a dose of steroids, H1-antagonists and discontinuation
of the transfusion. Her repeat Hb is now 128 g/dl but her gas exchange remains
unchanged.
