The radiologist agrees that an abdominal CT scan would be useful in light of the x-ray findings and arranges an
urgent scan.
On the way to the CT suite the patient keeps vomiting. She faints when asked to climb from her bed onto the CT-table. Fortunately she regains consciousness very
quickly and you proceed to an abdominal CT. Unfortunately the pictures are of very poor quality because the patient keeps retching and is unable to lie still. Her vital
signs have deteriorated further. You decide to return to the emergency room and plan to repeat the scan when the patient is more stable.
